About The Farm
Pemberton Valley Farms is a 3rd-generation vegetable farm that has been producing delicious fresh veggies since the 1950's. The land was purchased by Tony and Nel Van Loon (Marty's parents) after it was logged and it took almost 10 years until the first crop of potatoes came to be.
Marty and Andrea bought the farm in 1991 and grew mostly Seed Potatoes, as well as raising cattle. They also hosted beautiful weddings and other events. Matthew, Trevor and Erica, their 3 children, became involved in the farm activities since a very young age. Matthew and Trevor started Goat Mountain Produce, a stand that offered mixed-veggies in 2006. Years later, Erica took it over until it closed in 2017 and started making regular deliveries to Pemberton. In 2022, after 11 years of working in the mining industry, Matthew and his wife Cristina moved to Pemberton in order to start farming and are currently growing potatoes, carrots & beets. They re-opened the stand and are passionate about supplying the community with healthy and fresh food. They are making it work with the help of Steph as well as their family, friends and the awesome community that surrounds them.
